Call for Papers: Entropy Topical Special Issue on "Configurational Entropy"

Dear Colleague:

We would like to invite you to contribute a paper for the special issue "Configurational Entropy" of the Entropy journal. The deadline for paper submission is 31 July 2008. Papers will be published continuously until 30 September 2008 and all papers will be listed together at the special issue website.

I want to run this special issue because I have been wondering whether configurational entropy which can be calculated easily is really a thermodynamic entropy which should be experimentally measurable through calorimetry. For instance, I know entropy of mixing is a configurational entropy but there is no detectable heat effect for typical mixing processes of idea gases or ideal solutions.

MDPI journals maintain a rigorous and fast peer-review system. Accepted papers are immediately published online.
