Special Issue on
"Marine Toxins" of the Marine Drugs journal:
Call for Papers. Deadline
for article submission (new): 28 February 2008.
On behalf of
the Guest Editor, Prof. Dr. Alejandro Mayer, we would like
to invite you to contribute a full research manuscript or a review
article
for a special issue on "Marine Toxins" of the Marine Drugs journal
http://www.mdpi.org/marinedrugs/special-issue-marine-toxins.htm.
So far 20 review papers or research papers from leading research groups
have been under consideration and will be published if accepted, see:
www.mdpi.org/marinedrugs/special-issue-marine-toxins.htm#announced_reviews
www.mdpi.org/marinedrugs/special-issue-marine-toxins.htm#announced_research.
Because Marine Drugs is currently a free online journal (an Open Access
journal), published articles will receive very high publicity.
Papers published in Marine Drugs will be rapidly indexed by databases
including Chemical Abstracts, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA),
Science Citation Index Expanded (ISI Web of Knowledge or ISI Web of
Science), Biochemistry & Biophysics Citation Index. MEDLINE also
started to cover this journal.
Currently, Marine Drugs supports Open Access publishing, which results
in
reduced publication costs to scientists who are readers and authors of
the
journal. See http://www.mdpi.net/oaj-supports.htm for more details.
You are welcome to send your manuscript at any time prior to the
31 October 2007 deadline. Marine Drugs maintains a rigorous and fast
peer-review process, and we anticipate that well-written papers will
be reviewed and published within one month or prior to the deadline.
Therefore, you may wish to consider submitting your manuscript at
this time. Finally, all articles accepted to this special
"Marine Toxins" issue will be gathered together in a homepage.
Manuscript submission: Manuscripts should be prepared according to the
Instructions for Authors (http://www.mdpi.org/marinedrugs/publguid.htm)
and
submitted by e-mail to [email protected], with copy to Guest Editor,
Dr. Alejandro M.S. Mayer [email protected]. The subject title of =20
the message should be
"Manuscript for Special Issue on "Marine Toxins" of Marine Drugs
journal".
Review manuscripts: Before writing their manuscripts, potential authors
of
review articles should forward the title and a short abstract to the
Guest
Editor. The Guest Editor will then provide feedback on the suitability
of
the topic upon consultation with other editors and/or members of the
Editorial Board. Authors are encouraged to write reviews that provide
a critical appraisal of areas of marine toxin research.
Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Best regards,
Shu-Kun Lin
