MDPI Foundation
At the end of every year, the profit arising from the income of the
MDPI samples distribution services is transferred to the MDPI Foundation,
and used for the purposes listed below.
The amount of distributed funds will be decided by the MDPI
Foundation Board of Directors. The Board of Directors decides annually
on the distribution of the MDPI Prize to those who during the preceding
year have contributed the molecular diversity preservation, by donating
samples and helping samples collection.
Purpose of the MDPI Foundation is to

run the MDPI non-profit publications, particularly the journal Molecules
(http://www.mdpi.org/molecules).

organize MDPI conferences, particularly, ECSOC (http://www.mdpi.org/ecsoc).
-
reward annually in the form of MDPI Prize
to those who during the preceding years contributed to the molecular diversity
preservation by donating samples and helping samples collection.

provide research grants promoting research on diversity (particularly molecular
diversity) assessment.

promote samples collection and exchange..
The MDPI Foundation was set up based on the Swiss laws (Basel-Stadt).
