MDPI Samples Services

Samples for academic use and free of charge
A part of the total amount of MDPI samples can be borrowed for
chemically
non-destructive use (e.g., can be recovered after solution NMR), free
of
charge. Authentic crystal samples can also be borrowed for
non-destructive
use (X-ray, microscopic studies, etc., where both physical and chemical
properties of the sample will not be changed) free of charge.
Those samples which MDPI received free of charge can be
distributed
for academic use also free of charge. You may obtain these samples for
chemically destructive use such as chemical or biochemical activity
tests.
We ask you to acknowledge the MDPI source of these samples. Contact
MDPI-Center
in Switzerland for details.
Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions apply only to those samples
directly
supplied by MDPI. Contact the individual sample vendors for further
information
if samples are listed in MDPI database but supplied by individual
sample
vendors.
The samples are provided by MDPI on a non-exclusive basis.
MDPI provided compound samples are for supply to qualified
chemists
only, for use in well-designed laboratories and for chemical or allied
research. Under no circumstances should they be used by chemically
unqualified
or untrained personnel, or without advice of a qualified chemist.
MDPI provides a place for all chemists to exchange their compound
samples.
Therefore, MDPI takes no position regarding the validity of any patent
rights asserted in connection with any compounds and their production
procedures.
Users of the preparation methods described and the samples requested
from
MDPI are expressly advised that determination of the validity of any
such
patent rights, and the risk of infringement of such rights, are
entirely
their own responsibility. Because research samples "preparation
according
to literature" is a common practice of chemists, we suggest that those
MDPI registered samples requested and used by users be treated by the
users
as if the samples were obtained according to published literature
or
therein cited relevant reference(s), including patents.
Unit Price and Unit Amount
Unit Price
Following suggestions of several customers, we set one unit price
for some samples which are not give the unit price in the database. The
unit prices of most samples (all different unit amounts) are given in
the
database.
Unit Amount
Unit amounts are given in the database according to the total
amount of the compounds available, as follows:
1 mg
5 mg
10 mg
20 mg
50 mg
100 mg
Notes
Prices for multiple unit amounts are available upon request.
VAT is not included in the price.
Transportation costs are normally paid by the sample users.
Ordering Procedure
Compound selection
MDPI database of available
compounds
can be used to select compounds directly. Give the MDPI ID numbers of
the
ordered compounds as a list.
If the number of unit amounts is not given, it means one
unit
amount. Otherwise the number of the unit amounts should be given.
Vials may be provided by the sample users.
Place order
Preferably, order should be placed by e-mail
[email protected], by fax ( Fax ++41 61 302 8918) or by telephone ( Tel.
+41 79322 3379 ). Surface mail address:
Custom Synthesis
Normally larger amounts are available on a custom synthesis basis by
the
sample contributor. If the original contributor is unable to offer
custom
synthesis, MDPI may organize custom synthesis at another laboratory.
